Anglo Saxon invasion

Rhino Class launched their learning project about The Anglo-Saxons with a visit to the Ashmolean Museum. They took part in a workshop, learning about archaeologists and how they help us learn about our ancestors.

At the museum they were able to see the world-famous Alfred jewel and the recent discovery of the Watlington hoard. The children also made their own jewellery based on Anglo-Saxon designs.

Using their research, the children have designed and made their own Anglo-Saxon village. They have built different houses including the chief and family houses.
