New roles: School Council, School Values Ambassadors and Digital Leaders

School Council

The new School Council met for the first time last Friday after receiving their badges in worship.  The children who have been elected by their classes this year are:

Year 2              Jake and Sophia: terms 1-3/ Livi: terms 4-6 (due to a draw!)

Year 3              Louie and Poppy

Year 4              Johnny and Lucy

Year 5              Hugo and Emma

Year 6              William and Perdy

Firstly we attended to our beginning of year routines:  Perdy kindly agreed to oversee the taking of photos for our School Council board; Poppy and Louie will be on breaktime bin duty for the rest of this term and Poppy also agreed to be the person who decides which of our School Values have been considered at our meetings.  The children will decide how they will manage the ‘Meet and Greet’ responsibilities when visitors visit their class and feedback to the next meeting.  We will be asking class councils to consider new ideas for how to deal with children who don’t have any one to play with at break and lunchtime as the retiring School Council members from 2016/17 decided at their end of year review that the bench idea was not working.

School Values Ambassadors

Congratulations to the newly appointed School Values Ambassadors for this year: Finn B, Finn W, Jake, James, Maisie, Perdy, Polly and William.  School Values Ambassadors help to lead whole school worship and meet with Mrs Seymour regularly throughout the year to plan initiatives to strengthen values in the life of the school. We’re looking forward to hearing all their ideas for 2017-18!

Digital Leaders

Congratulations to the newly appointed Digital Leaders for this year: Finn B, Finn W and James.  They have already been busy taking photographs of staff and our new School Values Ambassadors.
