Checkendon School won Michael Morpurgo Competition!
We were excited to learn that Checkendon School won the Michael Morpurgo competition! You can see details of the competition www.michaelmorpurgo.com. The judges said “We loved your big book full of paintings, drawings, photos and reviews, and despite receiving over 200 entries, your work really stood out from the crowd!” The news story about our win can be found here: http://michael-michael-morpurgovisit. Our prize is a full set of the 30 books featured during Michael Morpurgo Month in November last year and a visit from the author himself on the morning of Friday 4th July.
Many thanks to everyone who helped with the entry, especially pupils from Rhino Class who gave up their lunchtimes and to Charlotte Snowden who took photographs of us all with our Michael Morpurgo books!
Well Done Year 6 2014!
